2025 Creative Review - Animals
I purchased a used 500mm /4 lens last year and promised to myself that I’d dive deeper into my hobby-within-my-hobby. 2025 was very much a continuation of that. Even on the used market, it’s an expensive lens with no real ROI for me - I’m not making any money with it. I have decided that the miles travelled with this lens in hand will be the only KPI. There’s no such thing as a bad day in the field and there’s no price to be stamped on the amount of joy this big, stupid lens brings me.
I still don’t consider myself a birder - I’m a good shot who likes to point my camera at birds. Just enjoy these photos and don’t ask me the difference.
